Accessibility Statement

Welcome to our Divergent Worlds accessibility statement, and thank you for coming. This statement includes Divergent Worlds, Rachel Robbins, and all associates in our practice.

Measures to Support Accessibility

At Divergent Worlds we aim to create and maintain an environment that is accessible including include physical disabilities and differences, cognitive differences, emotional differences, and neurodivergence along with our goals for reducing barriers for all. We recognize that not everyone will be included in our policies, practices, and design choices, and we have an ongoing commitment to work to continue to increase accessibility.

Divergent Worlds takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies

  • Include people with different lived experiences in our practice policy, office, and website design process including disabilities, trans and non-binary folks, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent folks, and BIPOC folks

  • Offer multiple methods for access including documentation, attending appointments, accessing telehealth platforms, and payment systems

Website Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Divergent Worlds is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We consider our website to be partially conformant because there are different tools for assessment, and always changing standards we might not be aware of or have implemented.

Additional accessibility considerations

We have also attempted to create an environment that is clear and welcoming;  inclusive of different styles of thinking, knowing, and being; and acknowledges the impacts of privilege and oppression on others with different experiences.

We are committed to continuing to adapt and adjust our design, content, and copy along with our policies and procedures.
