Growing Your Private Practice

Hi peers and colleagues! There can be so many pressures, fears, expectations, and stories that come along with starting and maintaining a private practice. How do they stay sustainable? How do they stay ethical? How do they get full, and what does that even mean? How do I work with the people I want to work with, can I do that, and who are they!? How do we all stay connected, and continue to learn as things change?

I thought I would be a community mental health therapist forever, and I stayed about a year after getting licensed. The system didn't feel like a great place to connect folks with healing, so I started a private practice and fell in love with the opportunities to share this process with both clients and other therapists alike. Every private practice is unique, and each of us can combine our own skills and strengths to connect to the folks we want to work with in the ways we want to do that, and also have time and resources for ourselves along the way.

These are the specific outlets I focus on, and if you have a question or want to reach out I welcome you saying hi or asking questions.
